Working at a range of scales, from sites and neighborhoods to towns and urban infrastructure, UrbanBiology focuses on making legible and livable environments from fragmented, marginal and degraded urban settings. Our work reconnects and builds places with emphasis on green infrastructure, multi-modal transportation systems, economic viability and cultural sensitivity.

UrbanBiology
is led by Marita Roos RLA, AICP, LEEDAP a landscape architect and urban planner with expertise in sustainable site design, placemaking, civic engagement, ecological restoration and historic preservation. Our clients are local, state and federal governments, transportation and natural resource authorities, schools and universities, institutions and community organizations.

UrbanBiology is a certified SBE/WBE with the South Texas Regional Certification Agency and a State of Texas HUB certified vendor.
